Abstract


Tuberculosis (TB) is still a disease that is a major concern in the world. In
Indonesia, pulmonary TB disease is ranked as the third cause of death after heart and respiratory diseases, and it is ranked as the first for infectious diseases. In Aceh province, there are 4,023 cases of AFB +, 50 cases in Aceh Jaya district, and 31 cases in Teunom subdistrict. The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between compliance of antipulmonary tuberculosis medication and the recovery rate of pulmonary tuberculosis patients in Teunom sub-district, Aceh Jaya. This research employed quantitative with cross sectional
design. The study population of all pulmonary TB patients was 31 people and the sample of this study was 31 people with total sampling technique. Univariate and bivariate data analysis used chi square test. The results of the study showed compliance of taking anti-pulmonary tuberculosis medication with the recovery rate of pulmonary tuberculosis patients (P <0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between compliance of taking antituberculosis medication and the recovery rate of pulmonary tuberculosis patients in Teunom
sub-district, Aceh Jaya
